Working Together to Tackle Drink Spiking At Glasgow Underground
Last weekend at Glasgow Underground stations, a strong and practical example of community safety in action took place bringing together frontline policing, volunteers and campaigners to address the ongoing issue of drink spiking.
Thank you to @SpikeAwareUK, and founders @ColinMackie and @MandyMackie, who were out engaging directly with the public alongside @BritishTransportPolice.
Officers and volunteers spoke with commuters and nightlife-goers about:
- Recognising the signs of drink and needle spiking
- Personal safety and looking out for friends
- How, where and when to report concerns

Purchased by Transport Police, were handed out as a practical, preventative tool to help deter drink tampering and support safer nights out.
